Variety House in Oville!
I.D.E.A. is proud to partner with Variety the Children’s Charity. Variety, like I.D.E.A, is dedicated to promoting and protecting the health and well-being of children around the world. Together we will increase awareness about children with special needs and expand the donation base for Variety Tents (Chapters) everywhere. Interacting with Charitee, our new little Cackleberry, will help children learn about differences and celebrate similarities. Charitee was born without her bounce and lives her life to the fullest in her wheelchair. Her home, Variety House, will feature games, stories, music and videos addressing the challenges faced by children with many different needs.
Meet Charitee, Host of Variety House
Inspired by our new partnership with Variety, we have created a Variety house in Oville that will include a “Hall of Heroes” room complete with videos featuring real-life Variety House Heroes. To go along with this new Oville home, we are pleased to introduce a new, outgoing Cackleberry character called Charitee. She is a lovebird who doesn’t just hop around Oville like her Cackleberry friends. Instead, Charitee zips from the library to the general store in her ultrafast wheelchair. Children playing with their Cackpals in Oville will have plenty of comfortable and confidence-building opportunities to ask Charitee why she is in a wheelchair and to find out more about what it’s like for a child to live with a disability.
